Stringer's Cottage features a queen size bed with a luxurious doona and pillows. Bedside drawers and reading lamps complete the picture. The bedroom has windows opening out to a bushland setting, and a fireplace at the end of the room to add to the romantic ambiance. Firewood is provided and the sealed fire will burn efficiently day and night to keep the cottage cosy in Winter. In Summer, Stringer's Cottage is a great escape from the heat, set where it is in the shady Stringer's Gully. Leave the screen door open and enjoy the valley breezes, the smell of eucalyptus and the sound of the creek as it rushes by below.
The large bedroom features two comfy armchairs and a wide selection of books and magazines to while away the time. The CD/radio keeps you in touch with the modern world, and there is a small selection of CDs though you might want to bring your own.
The galley kitchen has fridge, stove, oven and plenty of crockery and cutlery. The dining counter overlooks Stringer's Creek and there are two stools from where you can sit and enjoy the view while you dine. There is a separate shower with instantaneous gas hot water and a separate toilet and hand basin. The cottage is light and bright with its own porch and outdoor dining area, cosy in Winter, cool in Summer. Steps lead up to the road where you are just a short walk to the village. Please note there are approximately 39 steps so pack lightly!
